Junior Judokas Shine at the Legacy Cup 2020
The Legacy Cup Judo Tournament hosted by The Marine Gardens Judo Club (MGJC) got the Barbados Judo Association calendar started for 2020. This tournament was held at the Marine Gardens Dojo, on Saturday the 29th February, 2020. The competition was keenly contested by the junior athletes. There were 22 categories; of the twenty two categories Marine Gardens won ten (10), Keikath School of Martial Arts (Keikath) (3),Phoenix Judo Club (BAR) (2), and St. Cyprians Boys School Judo Club (1). For the second year this tournament has attracted a club from overseas….Phoenix Judo- Guadeloupe (GUA) who bagged six (6). The junior athletes as young as 5 years’ old demonstrated courage and spirit. At the close; athletes, parents, guardians and well-wishers were beaming with delight. We are truly proud of our young ones who have shown a great deal of promise for the future.
